INTRODUCTORY MODULE
EVENT COORDINATOR - Lv1
Event Coordinators are basically responsible for the set up and pack up of the event.
The Event Coordinator(s) will use the printout from the Volunteer Register to direct the volunteers to where they are to do their jobs. They will provide volunteers with appropriate instructions and what ever equipment they may need for their job.
Typically setup occurs from the Friday before Speed Week to the Sunday and pack up occurs straight after the event is finsihed, usually the Friday afternoon.
Prerequisite for this specialist module is completion of the General Official Module.
The Learning Objectives for this module are:
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of Event coordination in a land sped environment
- Identify the personal resources required to perform various DLRA event roles
- Apply communication techniques appropriate to the various roles of the Event Coordinator in a team environment
- Identify roles and structure at a DLRA event
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of radio etiquette techniques and hand signal techniques for DLRA events and demonstrated ability to apply them
