John is along time hot rodder famous for some the high performance cars he has built including his Shotgun powered '34 Ford roadster which he still owns today.
John was the 3rd member of the team of Aussies who made up Aussie AsSalt, "Thunder from Down Under team", that went to Bonneville for the 50th Annual Speed Trials in August 1998. Taking his Keith Black powered bellytank where he ran a very respectable 254MPH pass before having to extinguish a fire in the engine bay which resulted in his retirement.
John is also proprietor for Jet Hot Coatings in Australia.
